Lithenes

Struktol Company of America also distributes Lithene liquid polybutadienes manufactured by Synthomer Limited. Lithenes are liquid hydrocarbon polymers of butadiene and are useful in a diverse range of applications:

  • rubber coagent for peroxide cured EPDM/EPR
  • automotive sealants
  • electrical potting and encapsulation
  • electro-deposition paints
  • co-curable plasticisers/process aids
  • adhesion promoter additives
  • modifiers for other resin systems
  • chlorinated rubber feedstock
  • sealants, e.g. ambient temperature cures
